Polynex is committed to the highest standard of health and safety.
Our product is designed to minimise environmental impact, and our process is designed to minimise human impact.
Workplace Health and Safety, including the mental and physical wellbeing of all of our employees, is a core value in the model in which Polynex operates.
Polynex has a focus on the elimination of risks through the management and control of potential workplace exposures to substances and noises which could result in long-term harm. Effective identification, management and resolution of risk underlie our business practice.
Control and minimisation of identified risks results in a workplace that has consistently upheld standards of workplace health and safety. We have embedded a risk management process into our industrial and site processes; this means we take a precautionary approach to new processes and developments.
Fitness for operation and work is critical in the workplace. Drug and alcohol policies and support programs have been developed to manage and resolve issues as they arise. The health and safety of our staff rests on meeting and exceeding standards that have been outlined in industry manuals and policies.
Explicit performance frameworks are met through the implementation of occupational exposure limits and control plans. These control plans are integrated into the design process, procurement of new plant and equipment, and the development of evolving processes.
Our commitment to safety continues beyond our gates – our HDPE products are light, and very safe to handle on site. Cutting on site is easier for HDPE than for concrete, steel, or composites. Disposal of waste is safer. Joining is safer (no steel to weld, no concrete to mix, no epoxy to handle.
